I ate an entire cake last night. The whole thing. Each and every decadent layer, and I didn’t even share or feel guilty.
Because it happened in Dream Town where you do all the things you crave without consequence. But what does eating a whole cake mean in your dreams? Well, what do you think it means?
Immediately I think of a cake as celebratory. You have cakes for birthday celebrations, weddings, babies, retirements, all the things that bring cheer. Maybe you need to look at the cake as a reminder to celebrate yourself and your accomplishments. Maybe you’re not ticking one of the big celebration boxes, but you may need to still take a moment to celebrate you!
Cakes also represent indulgence, or over indulgence. You know they are delicious, but eating an entire cake, or even a slice isn’t exactly equivalent to eating a bag of carrots. Have you been overindulging in something that isn’t great for your mind, body, spirit? Maybe booze or drugs, maybe sex, maybe gambling. Perhaps there is something you know isn’t great for you but you’re ignoring that fact and continuing on anyway. Identify the habit and work through it.
Have you ever baked a delicious cake? One that is like, as good as a professional baker’s cake? I have, but it’s rare. Usually it ends up just a cake plate of some crumbs from a box held together by eggs and water. I truly believe you need to have that magical ingredient of love when you bake a cake to make it something special. Whether it a love of baking or love for the person you’re making the cake for; without really being in tune and desiring to bake a cake, I think it turns out shitty. A cake in your dream can represent love. The love you have for others, and that they have for you. Who was with you when you experienced the cake in your dream? Are they giving you the cake, or are you giving them the cake? This clue points to who or what you may need to pay attention to.
The long and short of this dream symbol – like all dream symbols – is find meaning within yourself. Could be highly significant, or may not be. Ultimately YOU decide what it means to you, I’m just your guide!
Sweet (delicious) dreams!
