Herbs have the power to make our meals taste better, right? Throw a little chopped basil over your pasta, and yum! Taco Tuesday is tasty, but toss in some cilantro and dinner goes from wow to holy cow.
We eagerly merge herbs in our cooking without giving it much thought. If the recipe calls for it, then use it. Well, let’s take that thoughtless act of tossing in some herbs for flavor and add it to our bedtime routine to give our dreams a little flavor of their own.
Chamomile is where my journey begins. This herb is ruled by the moon. Why is this important? The moon rules dreams and my goal here is to experience dreams in a new way. So, it feels appropriate to make friends with a moon herb.
Chamomile is also easy to find at the market, through online retailers, and maybe even in your pantry. I am using organic chamomile flowers, but any chamomile tea would be worth a try. I just happen to have loose chamomile flowers laying around. Who doesn’t?
Tonight I’ll try chamomile tea.
* 2 tsp organic chamomile flowers, any chamomile tea would do
* 6 oz of boiling water
* Steep tea for 5 minutes in boiling water
* Enjoy my cup of tea 30 minutes before bed while doing a relaxing activity

My relaxing activity will be laying in bed praying that I have sweet dreams to report back on, But in a totally relaxed way.
